Biography
Claimed the French crown through his mother, starting the Hundred Years War. Victories at Crécy and Poitiers, his son the Black Prince, made England a military power. Founded the Order of the Garter. Parliament split into Lords and Commons under him. His heirs, through John of Gaunt, seeded the Wars of the Roses between Lancaster and York.
