Biography
William of Orange invaded 1688, Parliament invited, James II fled, Glorious Revolution. Joint rule with Mary. Bill of Rights 1689, constitutional monarchy, Parliament supreme, free elections, no royal taxation or standing army without consent. Bank of England 1694 funded his wars against Louis XIV. He died childless, Anne followed, then the Hanoverians by the Act of Settlement.
