Thutmose III
Biography
Thutmose came to the throne as a child, with Hatshepsut acting as regent and then ruling as king. After her death he led around seventeen campaigns in the Levant, beginning with the victory at Megiddo, and extended Egyptian power to the Euphrates. His annals are carved at Karnak. Late in his reign Hatshepsut monuments were defaced. Historians often call him the Napoleon of Egypt.
