Nero
Biography
Nero became emperor at sixteen, guided early by Seneca and Burrus. His reign darkened with the killing of his mother Agrippina in 59. After the Great Fire of Rome in 64 he blamed the Christians and built the lavish Golden House. He performed publicly as a singer and charioteer, offending the elite. Facing revolts and declared a public enemy by the Senate, he took his own life, ending the dynasty.
